Community guidelines

SecreTie is a free space for making friends. These rules keep it real and safe. They apply to your info, your posts, your invitations and your chats.

1. Be a real person

• Fake persons are strictly not allowed. Use one account, and only your own.
• Every member can verify with a live selfie in a random pose. Gallery uploads aren't accepted. Verified members get the ✓ Photo verified badge.
• Some features need verification. For example, women need to verify before posting, inviting or chatting.
• Accounts found to be fake are removed.

2. Age

• You must be 18 or older to use SecreTie.
• Some location channels set a higher minimum age, such as 20. You'll be asked to confirm it before entering.

• Scams and money requests, including investment offers, loans, gifts and "emergencies"
• Fake profiles and pretending to be someone else
• Illegal trade of any kind
• Drugs
• Human trafficking
• War-related harm: weapons trade, recruiting fighters or mercenaries, and violent propaganda. Discussing war is allowed.
• Abuse and harassment of other members

5. Contact details

• Phone numbers, links and messaging IDs (LINE, WhatsApp and so on) aren't allowed in your info, your posts or your invitations.
• In a private chat, contact sharing unlocks after 10 back-and-forths between the two of you. Several messages in a row from one person count as one turn.
• If you try to share contacts too early, the app tells you how many replies are left.

6. Word filters and the Test button

• Some words are blurred; readers tap to reveal them.
• Some words are forbidden. A post or invitation containing one can't be sent.
• Not sure? Tap Test before sending. Tests never count against you.

7. Posts and invitations

• Fill in your info before you post or invite; it's shown with every post and invitation you send.
• A post stays open for 72 hours and accepts up to 10 invitations. Send one invitation per post.
• The post owner chooses who to chat with. Invitations that aren't chosen aren't refunded. Please respect their choice.
• Golden posts and invitations use ST-points. A Golden invitation can still reach a post that's full or expired.

8. Block and report

• Block anyone from a post, an invitation or a chat. You won't see their posts or invitations or receive their messages, and they aren't told.
• Unblock anytime in Settings → Blocked members.
• Report (⚑) anything harmful on a post, an invitation or a chat. Our team reviews every report.

9. What happens when rules are broken

Depending on what happened, we may remove the content, limit features, suspend the account or ban it permanently. Serious harm, such as scams, trafficking or violence, leads to an immediate ban.

10. Your data

• We keep account data, content and messages for a set retention period that will be stated in our privacy policy. That includes timed photos, which disappear for members but stay on our servers for that period.
• When the law requires it, we may share data with authorities investigating illegal activity.
